Fairness should act "Fair"
Being an Indian has become tough these days. Being a dusky Indian girl is lot more tougher. Everybody you meet gives a fairness tip. Right from the day I was born my mother's concern was "How am I going to get this girl married?" She readily found education as a compensatory for my dusky skin. A girl with a bachelor degree, earning a decent salary can be sold with little effort in the marriage market.
Who has defined that the white skin tone is to be considered beautiful and dusky is ugly? Even the school books hold wrong examples. Aren't you people aware that you are destroying the confidence of young minds? Have you ever noticed in school annual days or in cultural events only fair kids are made to dance in front while dusky dark skinned kids are made to dance at the back. Teachers! you are supposed teach right values to the children but you are poisoning the little hearts..
During my pregnancy, I was talking to my cousin who is just out of school. He wanted a baby boy and I questioned him why. He told me "What if the girl baby takes after you? she will be dark and we cannot take her outside. If boy is dark skinned then its not a problem". His answer was offensive and racist but that's not his fault. Parents and teachers should have taught him the equality. I should say parents and teachers are to be educated before they teach a child else that young man wouldn't have found difference in baby's color.
When my friends tease me on my color, I use to search for a good come back. For one or two years I was really concerned about how I looked but then I started realizing the fact that white skin theory is a taboo. My beauty doesn't depend on my skin tone. I'm not going to say that your inner positive mind is the real beauty. Even that's a way of degrading ourselves. I'm content with my color and features. I'm not jealous on girls who are curvy, fair or having good features. I'm beautiful. Let others feel jealous of me. Dusky skinned people are way more beautiful than white. Just that media doesn't have the eyes to see it.
India is an easy target for all companies. One mantra for them to get hold of the market is to make us feel inferior. We Indians don't know the value of what we have. Do you really believe being white will bring you confidence, job, love, marriage or whatever you want? No! You grow in your field when you put 100% effort. Your boyfriend will not agree to come to London just because you are wearing a talcum white powder that smells good and makes you look fair.
Oh aunties, who has long poky nose, thank you for your concern. You need not worry about finding a right match for us. Our parents will or we ourselves will find a perfect match. You should be having more important work than this.
Medias, stop fooling us around. Your advertisements are failures! You should redefine your algorithm. Still showcasing white as beauty is not going to help for years. Smell the coffee before its too late.
All beauty creams, Please shutdown immediately. I have been using you for years but not a single tone of fairness I got from your products. 😠😠😠ðŸ˜
Stay UNfair, Stay Beautiful!!! 💕💖💙💚
Meet you in next post!!!
